Monster Legends

This time, our Game of the Week might be familiar because it comes from Social Point, the studio behind one of the biggest hits in the Android gaming world: Dragon City. Initially created as a Facebook game, Monster Legends brings us an incredible number of unique beasts and some innovative in-game mechanics, and that’s why we love it!

Your ultimate goal in Monster Legends is to collect monsters by hatching their eggs and breeding them together. This means that the combinations of new monsters you can create are almost endless, and with a total of over 900 monsters, the feeling of progress in Monster Legends is always there! These beautiful beasts are split into different categories: common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, and mythic, but also in accordance with the element they belong to: nature, fire, earth, thunder, water, dark, magic, light, and metal. We couldn’t help to think about other creature-collection games, like Pokémon GO, and the truth is Monster Legend does a great job with each monster's unique visuals and skills.

Apart from completing your monsters encyclopedia, you can fly these creatures to a chain of islands where they’ll face other monsters in intense battles. Fights are just a matter of choosing the abilities and attacks to use and looking at the cool animation before your eyes. As you can imagine, the skills and type of the monstesr are crucial to defeating a specific enemy like earth attacks are effective on fire enemies. Although combats are slightly limiting, we still find them to perfectly complement the collection side of the game since every victory will grant you resources that can be used to carry on breeding your monsters to create an even more powerful combination.

With a very intuitive UI and the right level of detail, Monster Legends is one of the most entertaining games of this genre we can find in the Android world. Take it more as a catch 'em all type of game rather than a fighting one, and you'll have a blast!
